Enews – Week ending 2/1/2014

Friday:
7:00 p.m.  God has shown up and showed out during the nights of consecration.  Tonight is our last night.  All singers, band members, Choir members definitely need to be in the house tonight.  Tonight’s theme is on worship  and all will be blessed.  Don’t miss your fresh word.
Saturday: 
8:00 a.m. Prayer Bring your heartaches, dreams and hopes to the altar.  Let’s NOT LOSE THE MOMENTUM FROM OUR NIGHTS OF CONSECRATION.  Let’s keep the fervor of the Lord!
11:00 a.m.  Mass Choir Rehearsal
6:00 p.m.  International Missions Potluck with Abigail Abraham from South Africa.  Bring any of your favorite dishes from your culture or from around the world.  Bring any decorations that you want to accent your dish.  Come and hear directly from a South African how our summer ministry will impact her country.  Come and ask questions about South Africa.
Sunday:
8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Morning Service:  Join us for worship at either service for communion and hear more about South Africa.  (Note:  the Superbowl does not come on until 3:30 p.m.   Give your time to the Lord First)
Monday:

5:30  p.m.  New Hope Art Project!

This is a work of love, that will literally include a piece of all of us. If you haven’t already, please bring at least one well-loved piece of fabric to represent you and your family.  Your offering can be a piece of clothing, a pillowcase, scarf, etc, in any bright rich color (we need them all!).  You do not have to be artistic to help, but if you are great at ironing delicates, or cutting out shapes, we will see you at the workshops!
Please bring, if you have them: your fabric offering,  ironing board, iron,  scissors made for cutting fabric

Join us for 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. worship as we continue our journey of Faith!  Does God want the Christian to walk a perfect journey?  Does he forgive us for our mistakes?  Are we a person who practices forgiveness?    Bring a friend to either one of these dynamic worship experiences.

 

Also this Sunday, right after the 10:30 service, we will meet with parents and youth who are going on the South Africa trip. We will be discussing the letter, other fundraising events, the itinerary, and more. Please be there if you are able.  Contact Sis. The Voices of Hope Youth Choir are the special guest at the Vallejo MLK Celebration at Hogan Middle School Auditorium.  Please be present by 11:00 a.m.
Choir Attire is dress white shirt or blouse (no T’s, no writing, no sleeveless tops, must have proper covering of cleavage), black bottoms. Ladies,  please ensure that skirts are at the knee or below.  If you need a ride please call Coach Dee Dee.
