New Hope Church Community/New Life Church eNews – Week ending 5/16/2015

We are praying for:
  • Sister Beverly Knox is attending the Celebration of Life service for her brother-in-law, Elder MarchBanks in Santa Rosa today. A more intimate family worship will also be held on Sunday in Santa Rosa.
  • Sister Makkedah Wells is mourning the loss of her dear cousin, Jay. Services for Jay will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at Wiggins-Knipp Funeral Home, 524 Capitol St, Vallejo, CA 94590.
  • Reverend Duane Adamson: Former District Superintendent of the Central Pacific District and Former Professor of Pastor Terrence and Gary Gusz at Simpson University suffered a stroke at his home in Pacifica, CA. He is in rehab at Kaiser Vallejo. Pray for the family.

  • 9:00 a.m. Sunday School. How has the church been able to impact those suffering from the Ebola outbreak? What does the Word say about the church as an agent for good?

  • 6:00 p.m. African Gala! Theme: I love Africa!. Wear your African outfits. Enjoy African Food and praise the Lord with African worship bands. This promises to be an exciting conclusion to our Annual Missions Conference. Don’t miss it.

Bulletin 3/22/2015

United Fellowship: We are in the 2nd month of our United Fellowship. We praise God for five souls added to our ministry and one candidate for Baptism. Over the month of March we will focus on our Unity on Sunday Morning and during Bible studies. We are a united family.

Crab Feed: Thanks to everyone who came and enjoyed the Crab Feed and to the team who helped make it a success. A special thank you to Sister Christine Fox and Sister Ruby Benjamin!

Finances & Calendar: Please see Sister Tiffani for a 2015 Calendar and 2014 Financial report.

Easter! As we prepare for Easter, our annual Easter Egg Hunt and Outreach, please start bringing plastic Easter eggs and small wrapped candies (please no chocolate). Also, get ready for two services with a breakfast in between the two; 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. It will be a busy weekend but make plans now to attend and invite an unsaved friend or loved one.

Easter! If you sing, Mass choir rehearsal is each Saturday at 11:00 a.m. All singers are welcome. Let’s sing to His glory! Easter Outreach is Saturday, April 4th. We will stuff eggs and create baskets the week prior. Stay tuned for dates. Everyone is welcome to help. All who are interested in volunteering the day of the event please see the sign up sheet.

“Flat Screen Fundraiser” In order to purchase a 50” flat-screen and hardware for our media presentations. If you would like to donate, please designate it on your check or give us your rolled loose quarters. That will be a big boost to the fundraiser. Also all cans and plastics recyclables will go toward this fundraiser. The target is $400.00. We have raised $451.00 thus far.

Sunday School: Classes will continue each Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Pastor Richardson is organizing these classes to be taught by our associates, Elders and others. Topics will vary across the Christian perspective.

Women’s Fellowship: March 28, 2015, 4:00 pm. Guest Teacher, Sister Richardson. All Women are welcome!

Women’s Ministry: All of our women of the United Fellowship had an awesome time getting to know each other yesterday. Thanks to Sis. Madeline for leading our women.

Liberian Fellowship: Thanks to all who journeyed to Pittsburg to worship with United Nations Church on last Sunday. It was an amazing afternoon of praise.

Daniel Fast: This Sunday is the last Sunday of our fast. Halleluhah! Let’s continue the momentum until the end of the month. Eyes have not seen nor ears heard what God has in store for us in 2015! Fasting helps you to see God’s plan more clearly and with focus. We can do it.

Liberian Fellowship: This afternoon at 3:00 p.m. Pastor Nichols is the keynote speaker at United Nations Church (C&MA) in Pittsburg, Ca for their 3rd year church Anniversary celebration. Pastor Nichols has been a key advisor to this church plant from inception. Here to Praise will accompany him in ministry. They will serve dinner after the worship.
